| Festival Description | The Takeoff festival is produced by Theatre Hullabaloo as an annual showcase of professional theatre for children and young people. Theatre companies gather for performances and talks at the Darlington Arts Centre. Each year Takeoff’s program features a focus theme. Takeoff partners with Small Size — an EU funded network of companies and artists creating theatre for the youngest audiences, including babies and toddlers. Workshops for artists and a day of public performances and discussion take place as part of the program. One day of the festival includes a full day conference with partners TYA - UK Centre of ASSITEJ where delegates debate crucial issues in planning for the Next Decade and supporting New Generation artists worldwide. |
