| Festival Description | Tessalit is an oasis in the Sahara desert and a frequent stop for desert travelers. The Festival du Chameau was created by Tinariwen, a group of Touareg nomadic musicians who play the electric guitar in their own unique version of desert blues and who happen to be local heroes in the region. The festival features camel races, music, parades and plenty of electric guitar. |
