| Festival Description | The Music Trophies Festival honors the best artists of the year. Additional events include debates, press conferences, and beer tastings. Expect fellow attendees to arrive in great numbers, among them, perhaps, the President's wife and the Minister of Culture, who were present in 2005. The singer Djénéba Seck received the 2005 Best Malian Artist prize, "directly from the hands of the Minister of Social Development, Solidarity, and Elderly Persons," according to a published report of the event. |
