| Festival Description | The International Festival Live Tango, whose first edition was in 1987, has drawn artists and bands from as far away as Argentina, Chile, Finland, France, Uruguay and Venezuela. Apart from the Tango shows, it includes conferences and a traditional competition of tango musicians called “Agustin Carlevaro”. The event is organized by the City Council of Montevideo, the University of the Republic and the Argentine Embassy. |
