| Festival Description | Established in 1985 the Kalamazoo Black Arts Festival brings a local awareness of Black culture. The Festival’s aim is to develop human potential, self esteem,and creativity among Blacks of all ages in the Kalamazoo community, advance the awareness of Black artistic ability, and to preserve Black cultural heritage. Each summer the week-long festival is held in various Kalamazoo locations. The Festival culminates with four days of music, food and other entertainment. |
