| Festival Description | The cult to the Mother Earth, or “Pachamama”, is one of the most representative celebrations of the northwest of Argentina, and a marvelous example of the fusion between pagan Inca customs and the Christian faith. The ceremony takes place every year, where locals offer gifts to Mother Earth, while dancing and singing. The celebration lasts a week during which traditional dance and music performances are offered to the public in open-air spaces. |
