| Festival Description | Festival Nuits Metis Miramas is produced by Association Nuits Métis and features a program of world music performances and workshops. The festival offers free entrance. The first festival took place in Miramas in June 2009 with three successful evenings. The 2010 edition extends its program of concerts, bands, and tales to six days with various spectacles in multiple venues. Performers include Dobet Gnahoré (Ivory Coast), Co Theatre Djumbé de Moroni, Joe Driscoll & Sékou Kouyaté, Ba Cissoko, Katel Boisneau & Prince Abdou, the Vagabondu Brass band of Romania, and artists from Algeria, France and Tunisia. Invited regional artists include Papet J, Lo Cor of Planed, Sam Karpiénia, Alatoul and well of others… Spectacles resulting from workshops with young artists amateurs of the department will be also presented throughout the demonstration. |
