| Festival Description | The Florida Folk Festival is produced by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Recreation and Parks as an annual festival of Florida’s folk and heritage. The festival takes place on t the banks of the Suwannee River at White Springs’ Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park since 1953. The program includes folk musicians, artisans and delicious foods representing Florida’s ethnic cultures. The festival celebrates Florida’s traditions, the people and the diverse cultural heritage with over 200 performances each day. Performers include a range of genres including swing, folk, blues, gospel, country, Latin, jazz, bluegrass, Caribbean and zydeco featuring talented national musicians and songwriters. |
