| Festival Description | Venice and its lagoon have been on the UNESCO list of heritage sites since 1987, and have long been one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations. For many people, Venice is even the most beautiful city in the world. An amazing city, consisting of 118 islands connected to one another by more than 400 bridges. But the city fascinates above all through its numerous artistic treasures: churches, palaces and museums. The heart of Venice — Piazza San Marco and its marvellous basilica — is one of the world’s most beautiful places. These magical surroundings offer the ideal opportunity for amateur quires and amateur orchestras to experience an unforgettable event here. The first edition of the annual festival took place in 2010. |
