| Festival Description | The Essouk festival, evolved from an annual "Takoubelt", or Tuareg gathering in 2001. Nearby musicians and dancers gather for memorable performances. The organisers hope they have started a process of building the festival's reputation with world music fans and other tourists. For three days, this festival is held in the sands, under the skies of the Sahara desert. |
