| Festival Description | Since 2002 the Festival of Sacred Music takes place in sacred venues within the Papal Basilicas of Rome each autumn. The featured Orchestra-in-Residence is the Vienna Philharmonic. The organizers of the festival—Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra’s aim is educate the public about the institutional activities of the organization. The funds raised go towards the restoration of the buildings and religious artefacts. |
