Festival Description

The Viareggio Carnival is a parade of floats (some weigh about 40 tons), masquerades, and programs of entertainment for children and adult alike. The procession also includes folkloristic bands and performers wearing traditional masks. In addition there are a large number of shows and cultural events, including comedies, masked balls, and sporting events.
