| Festival Description | The Baugé Opera festival sets itself apart from its many likenesses in other French towns through its location — a Loire valley country house. The Loire is chateau country offering a variety of wonderful things to see and do in addition to the opera festival. The festival program features a one and a half hour interval for picnicking in the gardens of the chateau or for dining in the restaurant. The season features full-length performances of classical operas. The ‘Opera champetre’ performance takes place in a proper theatre and is therefore, not affected by the weather. |
