Short and Sweet Theatre Festival is the largest ten minute theatre Festival in the world, which currently runs in Sydney, Melbourne, Central Coast, Brisbane, Canberra, Singapore and Malaysia was joined by Auckland in January 2010. Each year Short and Sweet Theatre produces hundreds of the best ten minute plays from across the globe produced by some of the most talented local actors and directors. As well as presenting some of the best ten-minute theatre on the planet Short and Sweet has also helped to launch the careers of many actors, writers and directors. Over two action packed weeks Short and Sweet Auckland presents the best 40 plays and theatreworks from local and international writers presented by some of the best established and up-and-coming Auckland artists.
