The festival is directly responsible for the development of Cincinnati’s modern musical life. Music Hall, the city’s primary concert venue, was built specifically to house the festival’s performances. The prestigious roster of festival directors include, among others, Therodore Thomas, Max Rudolf, and James Levine. No other festival presents such a concentration of choral music masterworks and artists in a single eight day event. |
