| Festival Description | The Minnesota Fringe is an annual performing arts extravaganza that connects adventurous artists with adventurous audiences. Most shows are 60 minutes or less and there’s a 30-minute break between each show. The performances take place at multiple venues including Uptown, West Bank and Northeast-North Loop districts of Minneapolis. Among these venues there are also — BYOV (Bring Your Own Venue) locations for site-specific works. The Fringe participants do not go through a typical jury process, but rather, applicants are selected by a lottery. There is no selection panel that decides who deserves to perform — which makes the shows all the more surprising for everyone! |
