Festival Description

The Bowdoin International Music Festival, a renowned summer music school and concert series held on the Bowdoin College campus since 1964, presents classical music performed by guest performers, teaching artists, and top students from around the world. Programming includes a full range of classical works in seven concert series and a long weekend of contemporary works. The 2011 Festival features the music of Vienna from 1780 - 1930, but includes works from the classical era to the present.
