Festival Description

The Essence Music Festival celebrates black music and culture with a stellar line-up of artists and empowerment seminars. The festival is hosted by Nephew Tommy, with special appearances by Steve Harvey. In 2006 festival moved to Houston’s Reliant Stadium (Texas), due to the damage caused by hurricane Katrina. Since 2007 the festival has returned to its home of New Orleans, Louisiana.
