| Festival Description | The Cornett Family of Georgetown, Kentucky, first ventured into the bluegrass music business in 1974 with The Festival of the Bluegrass, which was named by Raymond Mc Lain, Sr. The first festival stage was a farm wagon with a tarp for shelter. Organizers and their families are involved in putting the festival together and seeing it through, thereby, the Festival shares the sense of community that surrounds Festival of the Bluegrass. |
