| Festival Description | Brussels Summer Festival was formerly known as Eu’ritmix Brussels Summer Festival that was created in 2002 has become a festival not to be missed in Belgium. With more than 250,000 spectators in 2006, the festival has confirmed its growth and position as the flagship summer event in Brussels for cultural and event tourism. Devoted to the music traditions and cultures of the regions of Europe, this festival is the major event in August in Brussels. It boasts several winning assets—free admission, international promotion, exceptional sites, diversified programming (rock, world music, jazz, hip hop, folk, reggae…), and more entertainment events. For ten days and ten nights, more than 15 sites—indoor and outdoor—play host to the festival's shows. In addition to the music, this festival is a real meeting place for different forms of artistic expression—street theatre, itinerant groups, sculpture, and circuit. |
