| Festival Description | The Stern Grove Festival presents a variety of music and performing arts, including classical, jazz, rock, hip-hop, blues, and world music, in addition to dance performances. The festival take place at Sigmund Stern Grove—a beautiful, 33-acre park with a natural amphitheater, picnic areas, meadows, a lake, and hiking trails, located at 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard in San Francisco’s Sunset/Parkside District. Today Stern Grove, a natural amphitheater surrounded by giant eucalyptus, redwood, and fir trees, is one of Northern California’s favorite concert sites. A beloved Bay Area tradition for nearly seven decades—every Sunday during the summer, family and friends gather to relax, picnic, and enjoy performances by some of the world’s greatest artists in this glorious natural setting. All events are free to the public. |
