| Festival Description | The Bronks Festival is an annual festival of theatre productions for children and young people. The festival’s main venue is at the BRONKStheatre in Brussels — in addition to other venues that include Beursschouwburg, Montagne Magique, De Markten, BOZAR, and BRONKS. It shows promising new work from specialist theatre companies and other young artists. Bronks was established at the end of 1991 under the driving initiative of Oda Van Neygen. The original aim was—and still is today—to present and produce contemporary youth theatre for young audiences. A few of the Bronks productions are shown again, while there is always at least one production making its debut. The results of workshops with children are presented and there is always additional entertainment such as readings, behind-the-scene-set-up, public rehearsals and more. |
