Festival Description

Since 1998, the Laguna Dance Festival, formerly known as the California Choreographers Dance Festival (or CaDance Fest) has been offering opportunities to view work for audiences and choreographers. Festival repertoire encompasses performance art, ballet, modern, tap, African and Indian classical dance, belly dancing and improvisation.

Choreographers are challenged to produce works that compel audiences to view the performance — occasionally with no chairs or walls to constrain the audience! Performances are often viewed from many directions, giving choreographers, performers & audiences an exciting, unexpected, dynamic performance experience. The festival takes place biannually — in the spring and in the fall.
