Festival Description

The Falls Festival features 50 performers and comedians, with an arts village, and films set on beautiful beachs. Festival-goers are treated to two nights of free camping. The Festival began in 1993 with the simple idea of transforming a New Years celebration among friends into an event that extended its invitation to a broader audience. The Falls Festival was born and was entitled “Rock Above the Falls”. The holiday event has since turned into an annual celebration of music and revelry with top international acts. The Festival with the local community and the world-at-large in mind takes great strides in making the festival a green event by signing on with partners in the field of enviromentally-minded practices. The organizers reach out to involve themselves in the local community through charitable donations and fundraisers for a variety of causes.

The festival also takes place in other locations:
Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia
Marion Bay, Tasmania, Australia

Festival Dates December 29, 2013 - January 1, 2014

Boasting intimate surroundings of sheer beauty where music & arts from around the globe come together. Nestled on two farms that host the event simultaneously from December 29th until January 1st; in the Otway Rainforest near Lorne along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, and near the beautiful Marion Bay beaches in Tasmania. Set amongst the countries most spectacular scenery, the festival is based on European style events, including camping, arts, comedy, a great atmosphere, over 60 acts (international and national), beach access and a variety of activities and entertainment across a couple of days.
