| Festival Description | Organised annually by the Prešeren Theatre Kranj, Slovene Drama Week presents the most successful plays from Slovenia and overseas. Prešeren Theatre works hard to further expand the international part of the festival by devising round-table conferences involving famous dramatists, experts on theatre, producers and publishers, while also striving to stage foreign plays based on Slovene drama texts. The festival concludes with a ceremony at which the Grum Award is bestowed on the best original Slovene script, the Grum-Filipič Special Mention is awarded for excellence in dramaturgy and the Šeligo Award is conferred for the best recent staging of a Slovene drama text. |
