| Festival Description | The beautiful city of Almaty will host “100 Days Before Winter Games Begin” a cultural celebration that will take place prior to the Asian Winter Games in 2011 in Kazakhstan. The large-scale celebration is a street carnival showcasing theatre, dance, puppetry, circus and music in the streets of Almaty. During the evening there will be a concert show with some of the most popular Asian and Kazakhstan Artists — musicians, ballet, dancers, and actors. 100 Days Before Winter Games Begin is directed by Rod Petrovic, who also serves as the director of the World Festival of Puppet Art, that takes place in the Czech Republic.
