| Festival Description | Events include Highland dancing competition, a Fiddlers Rally and many, many other exciting entertainments! The Border Gathering is an annual event hosted in the beautiful countryside of South West Scotland, consisting of a celebration of Border culture. But it is the cultural heritage that makes this country very special. For four days, the Border Gathering will show you this culture - the music in many forms—the dance, both present and past—the Games, a trial of strength for the chief to choose his strongest men for defence. |
