| Festival Description | The community festival begins August 8th and the Traditional Music Weekend is from August 14th-16th. The Auchtermuchty Music Festival is a much-loved event which is always great fun—there are concerts, ceilidhs, competitions, workshops singarounds, open-air music, pub gatherings, and children’s events. A festival for the entire family. Situated on the edge of the Howe of Fife, Auchtermuchty is approximately 30 miles north of the Forth Road Bridge and within easy reach of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Perth and St. Andrews. Aberdeen is only an hour and a half away by car and Inverness takes just over two hours. ‘Muchty’s most famous resident was the late great Jimmy Shand. |
