Festival Description

The Benedict Kiely Literary Weekend honors the life and work of Benedict Kiely, the 20th century Irish literary giant born near Dromore, Co. Tyrone. The Omagh Arts Committee at the Omagh District Council organizes the annual event with a diverse program that includes readings, performances, discussions, art, music, and a walking tour of Omagh.
Kiely died in Dublin 2007 and is buried in Omagh’s Dublin Road cemetery.
