| Festival Description | The annual Dance Around The World Festival will take place each October at the Cecil Sharp House, 2 Regents Park Road, London NW1 7EY. This festival brings together traditional dance cultures from all over the world in an exciting weekend of performances and workshops. Visitors to the event will be able to watch and try for themselves dance styles from all over the world. The non-stop programme of performances and workshops runs from 10.00 am to 11:00pm on both days. Musicians can learn traditional dance tunes and try them out on dancers at the relaxed and entertaining music workshops. On Saturday evening we stage a fizzing Latin-American night and a Cajun dance. on Sunday evening visitors can enjoy an eclectic international barn dance or participate in a thought-provoking conference. Everyone who performs and teaches at the festival is passionate about traditional dance. All the performers and organisers give their time and expertise free to the festival and the entry prices are some of the lowest of the whole festival-going year. Children are free.
