| Festival Description | Today, the annual Salzburg Festival is universally regarded as the world’s best-known musical and theatrical event. The team of the Salzburg Festival adheres more closely to the ideas of the original founders. The classical heritage should be conveyed to meet the needs of a modern-day audience, the great works of the 20th century should be presented in top-quality productions and contemporary music and drama should feature strongly in the programme. |
