Festival Description

The Cornbury Festival is an eclectic and eccentric musical carnival—a dynamic summer festival disguised as a country fayre —a lovingly crafted, top notch, very English open-air party, tailor-made for the whole family. Like the best of England, Cornbury is eccentric, charming and irresistible — a homespun melting pot where music-lovers share pies and a glass of champagne with superstars, toffs, rockers, crooners, Morris dancers, farmers, urbanites, fashionistas, gourmet chefs and the little old ladies who make exceptional cakes. In short, The Cornbury Festival represents classic summer entertainment for a friendly crowd from all walks of life. A country fair with a rock ‘n’ roll twist; a farmers’ market with a dance floor; a magical local carnival with a classic contemporary soundtrack.

Glamorous Camping 2014:
  • Otherwise known as Glamping
    • The glamping area is already in one of the most beautiful corners of our lovely site — The Arboretum — this area is being extended and glamping will now also take place around Great Tew’s beautiful St Michael & All Angels Church. This is an idyllic location where Glampers are situated approximately 10-12 minutes’ walk away from the hustle and bustle of the main campsite, yet they’re welcome to sample the delights of the main campsite bar if they’d like to.
  • Wake-up
    • Guests are woken gently by the church bells that have been rung every Sunday since 1843 (don’t worry, they don’t go on for too long!) and can then enjoy breakfast in this serene setting before venturing out to the rest of our delightful festival with all it has to offer.
  • Select your style of glamping
    • We have a fantastic array of accommodation to choose from: tipis, yurts, podpads, and bell tents - or why not simply book a tent that has been pitched for you? You will also have exclusive use of upmarket loos and showers! Have a look at our Glamping page and find the perfect camping solution for you.
  • The Great Tew Park
