| Festival Description | Lollapalooza was established in 1991 and has since made its name synonymous with rock festivals. The three-day festival features a medley of rock, alternative rock, hip hop, and punk rock bands, dance and comedy performances, and vendor booths. From 1997 to 2003 the festival toured North American but has since settled in Chicago’s Grant Park. The promoters — C3 Presents also produce the Austin City Limits Music Festival, in Austin, Texas.
