| Festival Description | Swanage is unusual among British festivals in putting on jazz in most of the styles played in Britain today. You can stroll between venues presenting New Orleans, Dixieland, swing, mainstream, bebop, postbop and contemporary styles. Of course you may want to stick with your favourite style, in which case you can almost certainly find a band to suit your taste any time between late morning and midnight. Our policy is to book as many young bands as we can in every style, within a balanced programme. |
