| Festival Description | Guests Eric Bogle and John Munro, Bob Fox, New Rope String Band, Other Roads, (Formerly the John Wright Band), Strawhead, The Young ‘Uns,the Askew sisters and many more. The annual Saddleworth Folk Festival at Uppermill near Oldham, is a friendly festival on the edge of the Pennines. As ever there’s something for everyone, with Concerts, Ceilidhs, Singarounds, Workshops and Sessions and some of the top names in folk music. Add to that camping facilities, festival craft fair, quality accommodation within yards of the venues and some excellent opportunities for eating out and it all adds up to one of the finest festivals in the country. |
