Festival Description	The Rye Arts Festival has celebrated its annual festival since 1971. From the inaugural edition it has grown from a handful of classical and literary events set on two weekends to its present size — over 40 events presented during a full fortnight of entertainment. Now the festival stages music of all kinds; literary talks, lectures and book-signings; theatre; cabaret; dance; comedy; exhibitions; tours and walks. It has been rated among the 50 best festivals worldwide, and in the UK’s 10 best for arts and culture.
