The Reading Borough Council in accordance with Heavenly Planet UK Festivals is working up plans for a new festival to replace the WOMAD festival that previously took place in Reading. The Heavenly Planet Festival’s organizers envision the moderately sized event to be a world music celebration featuring an international line-up of musicians. The event is intended to draw a youth and family-oriented crowd and whose aim is to evoke optimism and global awareness. The festival will take place at Little John’s Farm in Reading and feature two big top tents to accommodate two stages. There will be camping available in addition to a food vendors offering a variety of foods and beverages.
