| Festival Description | Reading Festival began in 1960 as a National Jazz and Blues Festival and since has continually developed with the times. Some of the bands included The Rolling Stones back then. Mean Fiddler began organizing the festival in 1989 and changed the whole image of the festival— bringing popular bands to the event like New Order and The wonderstuff who where very popular at the time with festival goers. The 90’s saw change again—bringing Grunge bands with Nivans first UK appearance. |
