| Festival Description | The Banjola is an instrument that was developed by Edward Victor Dick in Colorado — who is also the Founder and Director of the event. The unique instrument is an amalgamation of a banjo, a mandola, and sometimes a ukelele — however the maker is inspired to create each indvidual banjola. The tonal qualities that are achieved by the instrument are well worth setting aside your evening — listen and enjoy the truly Colorado-invented-and-made instrument. The festival first took place in 2009 and attracts interested musicians and audiences from around the world. The out door festival takes place rain or shine at Willow Farm in Longmont, Colorado and is a one-day event in a family friendly atmosphere. Bring a blanket, a lawn chair and your picnic, or take advantage of an array of home cooked cuisine that will be on offer. Come early and take time to see the banjola for yourself and give it a try.
