The Melbourne International Jazz Festival presents international music artists of a calibre never seen in Australia before. Two thirds of the artists featured in the program are from overseas, one third of these overseas artists originating from Italy and one third from the historic home of jazz: the USA. To complement the international program some of the most established and best-loved names in Australian jazz from around the nation will be featured. The concerts will be presented in the heart of Melbourne and throughout the 'Umbria precinct.'
