| Festival Description | The Klein Karoo National Arts Festival (KKNK) was established in 1995. The arts and activities supporting the arts are the KKNK’s core business—its goal is to promote, encourage or preserve the arts, culture or customs mainly by means of Afrikaans. The mammoth week-long festival features a range of pop, rock, cabaret, classical music, drama and dance. The festival presents over 2000 shows, working with over 750 artists in 40 different venues. There are a range of fringe theatre productions in English, although the majority of the larger productions are in Afrikaans. |
