| Festival Description | The National Theatre Festival brings together over 40 theater artists from across Bangladesh. Both traditional and experimental plays are performed on two different stages; in 2007, the Festival took place at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, the principal national cultural center in the country. Reviews of the performances are pending, but the event is part of the Academy’s push to centralize national arts and make them more available to the citizens of Bangladesh. |
