| Festival Description | During two months of the summer Ljubljana hosts its annual Festival Ljubljana. The festival can be ranked among the European festivals with the longest tradition, a fact that represents a rightful pride to everyone. Numerous stages in different locations will be revived with music, dancing, painted canvases, cheerful street theatres and much more. Ljubljana Summer Festival dates back to 1952 when the Tourist Society of Ljubljana organized the first Tourist Week, which was followed by the first Ljubljana Festival in 1953. Since then, it has featured a number of cultural, business, folklore, tourist and sports events. The festival is a member of EFA since since 1977. |
