Festival Description

The Ljubljana Puppet Theatre Festival first hosted puppeteers from all over the world in 1933. Fifty years later in 1983 the organization hosted the second international conference on the training of professional puppeteers. The festival is the gathering of of puppet theatres, troupes and puppetry schools. The biannual event is an international puppet competion that is judged by a three-member international adult and a three-member children’s jury.
