| Festival Description | The International Organ Festival (MOF) is the oldest festival of organ music held in Slovakia. Its founder and dramaturgist is Ivan Sokol, a soloist of the Slovak State Philharmonic Košice. Organ recitals of important domestic and foreign artists are concentrated especially in the St. Elizabeth’s Cathedral, organ concerts with symphonic orchestra play in the concert hall of The House of Art. For 20 years The Organ Festival has been an integral part of the Košice Music Spring Festival. In 1991 the Festival format changed to also include the second half of September. The separation of the organ festival resulted in an increase in its importance and the inclusion of more programs and performances. |
