| Festival Description | The picturesque Black-sea resort of Pomorie hosts the International Festival for Orthodox Music “Theotokos - It Is Truly Meet”. The festival is organized in response to the growing interest in Orthodox music, in its preservation and dissemination, in the creation and performance of modern Orthodox chants worldwide. The program includes Orthodox Church Choirs, Byzantine chant, Choirs and vocal ensembles of mixed or equal voices, Repertoire, Seminars, and Concerts. The participants will have the opportunity to visit some of the most famous historical and cultural sights along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast in the region of Bourgas, Pomorie and Nessebar. The organizers welcome choirs from Bulgaria and abroad. |
