Ibsen Stage Festival
The biennial Ibsen Stage Festival and Samtidsfestivalen are two different festivals launched in alternating years. The former pays tribute to Norway’s famed playwright, Henrik Ibsen, a primary figure in the fields of literature and theater and one of the world’s most well-known writers. The event that bears his name takes place at the prestigious National Theater during the first week in September and features classical performances as well as smaller experimental productions. The Samtidsfestival, meanwhile, features more contemporary productions.
|Festival Dates||August 26 - September 9, 2010|
