| Festival Description | The BE Festival features an international line-up of performance artists from diverse genres. Companies perform a wide range of work “that employ physical, visual and multilingual techniques to reach audiences of different linguistic and cultural backgrounds”. Audiences will be given the unique opportunity to see innovative work by companies who have not performed previously in the UK. In addition to the performances there will be show from Birmingham’s artists, live music, DJ sets and delicious selection of foods, workshops led by established artists. Workshops are open to Birmingham-based students and young people. A panel discussion with an invited panel of theatre professionals and language academics will take place. The festival takes place at the AE Harris building, in the center of Birmingham. |
