| Festival Description | The Boston Cyberarts Festival takes place on a biennial schedule on odd numbered years. The festival program blends arts and technology across multiple genres where participants use computers to advance traditional visual and performing arts disciplines. International, national, and local participants include artists and high-technology professionals, who create interactive worlds, and exhibitions of visual arts, music, dance, and theatrical performances; film and video, and educational programs. The festival is rounded out with lectures, demonstrations and symposia. The event venues include Boston and the surrounding area — theaters, museums, galleries, studios, educational institutions, and public spaces. The participants include artists, arts organizations, educators, and high-technology industry professionals. Audience members include technology and arts professionals and amateurs alike, all ages and interests, and youth. |
