| Festival Description | Top New Zealand and international jazz acts gather at Waiheke Island near Auckland for a programme of great Easter jazz. Held over the Easter weekend, zappy, happy, cruisey, bluesy, trad, rad, swing, avant garde, jump and jive, and of course, Crescent City too—welcome to the wonderfully varied sounds of the Montana Waiheke Island of Jazz Festival. The Festival will not take place in 2008—the organizers will be out scouting for jazz musicians for the 2009 edition. |
